Loong Soon Restaurant

Holiday Fever Attack!

When you are being too free during a public holiday weekend, you know it’s that time to go out and hunt for some foodie! But I am being a bit lazy to wander too far away to satisfy my hungry stomach today, so I decided to pick something from the nearby new shop lots which is… Loong Soon Restaurant at Inanam Capital.

My colleagues introduced me to two of the restaurants in this area, where one of it is famous for their Ban Mee and another one for their Tenom noodles. Ban Mee is my favourite noodles menu but today I feel like having something different.

So, for today’s menu, we have order the following signature foodies, which is :

Hakka Style Stuffed Tofu with Minced Meat (Nyiong Tofu)

This menu seems normal to me, nothing special just like any other stuffed tofu, be it the texture of the tofu or the sauce that was poured on the dish.

Dry Sauce Noodles (Kon Loh Mee) with Tenom Egg Rolls

Kon Loh Mee

To be honest, I don’t really like the thin and slim noodles which is being served cus I am a huge fan of fatty noodles. But Mr. Boss told us that the noodles are all personally hand-pulled and prepared from scratch by themselves. You know, not all shop owners are willing to do that nowadays! They deserve an extra mark for their effort and thought to prepare the best quality of noodles for their customers. But still, I think the only food item that passes my ‘’one-of-a-kind strict tongue’’ is the Tenom egg rolls. They are slightly bigger in size and have better texture when you bite it in compared to the normal ones outside. And yes, the egg rolls are also being personally hand-wrapped and prepared by Mr. Boss kitchen workers!

Mr. Boss and his family members are the ones to take your orders once you have seated comfortably. You would only have to pay for your meal after finishing everything in the end.

One more thing that does not make it to my ‘’passed with flying colors’’ list is the drinks which are being served. Our drinks are only served after I have taken two mouthfuls of noodles. Aren’t drinks supposed to come sooner than the foods? I’ve asked for Teh C Panas but seems like the milk proportion is more than the tea inside my glass. Plus, the fact that they don’t pre-add any sugar into your drink from the kitchen, the sugar jar will be available at your table, where you can add them into your drink according to your own preferences. But, in the end, the final taste still disappoints me.

Before I end my review, I would like to give double thumbs up to Mr. Boss. Not only he came to our table to check on his customers’ feedback, he actually made and served a glass of Teh Tarik Panas to us when he found out that we had to wait for another 20 minutes for the extra egg rolls we ordered before we leave. His first class customer service is no doubt the best because the 5-star Teh Tarik Panas taste so perfect I have actually forgot about the 1-star Teh C Panas earlier. For those who love coffee, do try out their Tenom Coffee and feel free to tell me if it’s good aight! Cus sadly I am a non-coffee drinker.

Lastly, it’s time for the glowing stars rating :
